Jeffrey Niew is president and CEO of Knowles Corporation, the leading global supplier of advanced micro-acoustic solutions, audio processing and specialty components serving mobile consumer electronics, wearables, IoT, medical technology, telecommunications infrastructure, military/space and other industrial end markets. Jeffrey’s leadership, technology insight and operational expertise have strengthened Knowles’ culture of innovation, expanded the company into new markets and extended its product portfolio and global reach.
Prior to his appointment as CEO in 2013, Jeffrey was president and CEO of Dover Communication Technologies. During his time as Knowles Electronics' chief operating officer, Jeffrey was responsible for day-to-day global operations, product research and development and financial performance. During his tenure as vice president and general manager of Knowles Acoustics, the consumer products division, he was responsible for the development and commercialization of the first surface-mounted MEMS microphone, the SiSonic™ Series. This technological advancement remains the industry standard today.
Before joining Knowles in 2000, Jeffrey was the business development manager for Littelfuse, Inc., a global electronics manufacturer specializing in the consumer and automotive markets. Jeffrey also held various engineering and marketing positions in the optoelectronics division of Hewlett-Packard.
Jeffrey is currently a board member of Advanced Diamond Technologies, Inc. and sits on the University of Illinois – College of Engineering Advisory Board. Jeffrey holds a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Illinois at Chicago.
